In the heart of Oakland, Sister Marilyn Medau, a dedicated advocate and board member of St. Mary’s Center, has been a beacon of hope and change since the 1970s. Her journey has been marked by a commitment to parish work, justice and peace efforts, and service to seniors and preschoolers. As a passionate volunteer at St. Mary’s Center, she has become a fervent supporter of the Oakland Ceasefire program.

In the spirit of shared commitment and unwavering hope, we are delighted to bring you the latest news from our recent Climate Crisis session held at the Motherhouse. The gathering, a testament to our collective determination to address environmental challenges, showcased the power of unity and collaboration.

In the intricate tapestry of Sister Rita Jovick's life, each thread weaves a story of commitment, advocacy, and a profound dedication to eradicating human trafficking. Sister Rita's journey, spanning from her roots in a diverse family to her current role as a volunteer for Northern California Sisters Against Human Trafficking, paints a picture of resilience and compassion.

In the soft glow of a Motherhouse parlor, Sister Stephanie reflected on her life as a Presentation Sister. Born in Oroville, California, Sister Stephanie has seamlessly navigated diverse roles, from teaching to leadership positions within the Presentation Sisters. Her journey, spanning from 1981 to the present day, has seen her contribute significantly as an administrator, teacher, and spiritual director.

Ann Marie Moran brings two decades of professional experience spanning college admission, recruitment, healthcare, mass media, and talent management. She shares with the Sisters of the Presentation the belief that service to communities is crucial for shaping a better future.
