Since its founding in 1998, Presentation Sisters have supported SafeHouse in San Francisco, which has served hundreds of women as a healing space that addresses gender-specific trauma, homelessness and substance abuse. Sister Sylvia Llerena, a longtime volunteer, shares some of her experiences with Safehouse in this story.

This month Presentation Roots is focusing on Nicaragua, where Sister Rachel worked on a mission with Maryknoll Sisters. In her words: "I stayed on for 14 years, wearing many hats that made life full, challenging, and most interesting." Sister Rachel passed away in 2022. Presentation Learning Center in Watts is a ministry of the Union of Presentation Sisters. Some of our Associates recently visited the Center and found Nano's spirit and legacy alive and well!
