A Humble Journey: Sisters of the Presentation San Francisco at Pier 39 Aquarium

Driven by Purpose: A Day of Discovery

On February 23rd, a caravan of Sisters embarked on a journey to the Pier 39 Aquarium, guided by the capable hands of our dedicated driver, Ray.  Among us were Michelle Taylor Lagunas, the Director of our Motherhouse, and our newly appointed Enrichment Coordinator, Sinead Dinsmore, who joined in the spirit of shared exploration.

Witnessing Wonder: Embracing the Beauty of Creation

As we stepped into the aquarium, we were met with a sight that filled our hearts with awe.  Among the myriad sea creatures, the delicate pastel-colored jellyfish captivated our attention with their graceful movements, reminiscent of dancers in silent reverie. We observed with humility, marveling at the intricate beauty of nature's handiwork.

Simple Joys: Finding Delight in the Everyday

Amidst the gentle waves of the bay, we found joy in the playful antics of the otters, their carefree spirit a reminder of the simplicity of life's pleasures.  With smiles upon our faces, we watched as they frolicked in the water, their exuberance contagious and heartwarming.

Gratitude in Every Moment: Nourishing Body and Soul

Taking a moment to pause, we gathered to share a meal prepared by our kitchen staff, grateful for the sustenance provided.  As we dined, we gazed upon the boats that dotted the bay, their presence a reminder of the interconnectedness of all living beings.  In this shared moment of reflection, we found solace and gratitude for the blessings bestowed upon us.

Walking in Nano Nagle's Footsteps: Embracing Community

With hearts full and spirits renewed, we took a leisurely stroll along Pier 39, embracing the sense of community that surrounded us.  In the bustling streets, we found solidarity among fellow travelers, united in our appreciation for the beauty of the world around us.  Together, we explored the shops and attractions, finding joy in the simple pleasures of companionship and camaraderie.

Homeward Bound: Carrying the Light of Gratitude

As the day drew to a close, we boarded our van, hearts brimming with gratitude for the experiences shared.  Though our journey had come to an end, the memories we made will forever remain etched in our hearts.  As we returned home, we did so as humble stewards of Nano Nagle's legacy, carrying with us the light of gratitude and the spirit of community that defines us as Sisters of the Presentation San Francisco.
