“As Associates and religious on a journey together, we share PRAYER, or active communication with God, MUTUALITY, the shared relationship between each of us for the mutual benefit of all of us, INSPIRATION, literally, “breathing in” the grace of God, and FRIENDSHIP, knowing, esteeming, and loving each other.” ~Bay Area Conference of Associates and Religious (BACAR)
A group of forty-one Associates and Sisters gathered on May 18 to share the friendship mentioned in the quote from BACAR above. May Barisone, the hostess with the mostest, chaired another successful event. The Presentation Motherhouse dining room took on a picnic atmosphere with red-checkered tablecloths that Sister Rita Jovick, PBVM had saved from last year. We started with potluck nibbles and conversation, shared our St. Francis communal prayer, and enjoyed hot dogs and hamburgers prepared by the kitchen staff. Thanks to all who brought desserts to share, the picnic ended on a sweet note. Looking forward to next year.
